1. Sign Jacoby Brissett

Of all the possible backup options behind Desmond Ridder, Brissett is the best fit as a player who has been through a lot in this league. The way Brissett handled a tough situation in Cleveland after bouncing around the league as a starter and a backup speaks to the professionalism the veteran brings with him.

Brissett can win games in this Atlanta offense and would be a reliable starter if Ridder struggles or is injured.  While bringing the ability to start Brissett will also be a great mentor for Ridder and play his role as the backup quarterback helping prepare the offense each week.

Desmond didn’t have this benefit in his first four games with Marcus Mariota stepping away from the team after being benched. Brissett would be an option to run quarterback sneaks as well taking away that risk from Ridder.

Bringing in a veteran who is a solid starter but a great resource for Ridder is ideal and should be one of the first moves Atlanta makes this off-season.
