It seems very unlikely that Lamar Jackson will land with the Atlanta Falcons this off-season for two simple reasons. The first is the unlikelihood of Baltimore letting Lamar walk away considering what he has meant for that franchise. Jackson changed life in Baltimore after years of waiting on Joe Flacco to return to the form the veteran found during the team’s run to the Super Bowl.

Jackson stepped in and produced an elite winning percentage and changed the perspective on Baltimore. The team went from a boring offense to must-watch tv every Sunday. The Ravens simply letting Lamar walk away seems impossible.

Even if that were to happen Atlanta then must decide to move on from Desmond Ridder and spend their future to land Lamar. A trade for Jackson isn’t going to be cheap and will start with at least this year’s pick and two future first-rounders or major player compensation. These three offers aren’t meant to indicate Atlanta should chase Lamar but as a reminder of the potential cost of landing the star quarterback.
