Already the Atlanta Falcons have the second most cap space in the league with a scheduled $56 million before any restructures or roster cuts.  Atlanta has veterans Cordarrelle Patterson, Jake Matthews, Grady Jarrett, and Younghoe Koo all locked up heading into next season. Only Kaleb McGary and Rashaan Evans could be considered high-impact players who haven’t been locked up for the 2023 season.

Arthur Smith and Terry Fontenot both made it clear that this off-season is set to be different. In year three for the coach and GM, it is time to make a playoff push and attempt to return to serious playoff contention for the first time in five years.

Looking at the current roster potential roster cuts become clear for a team that has already done a great job of getting rid of bad contracts. The majority of Atlanta’s cap that is already locked up is divided between Jarrett, Lindstrom, Matthews, Pitts, and Mariota leading us to our first and most obvious cut for the Atlanta Falcons.
