4. Desmond Ridder 2022 3rd Round Pick

There is an argument for several different players to hold this spot as the 4th best draft pick of this front office so far. However, none of them play the most important position on the field and have the high upside of Desmond Ridder moving forward. From everything we have heard from Atlanta’s owner and front office so far the team is going to move forward with Desmond Ridder as the starting quarterback.

Ridder showed impressive poise in the final four starts of the year protecting the football and improving each week. If the Falcons found their franchise quarterback in the third round of the draft that is easily going to be the best pick of Fontenot’s tenure.

For now, however, Ridder has only played four games and is yet to prove he is a consistent starting option. The improvement and promise he should are enough to put the second-year quarterback second on this list.

With an off-season full of roster improvements and the ability to learn as QB1 there should be a drastic improvement in Ridder as Atlanta makes a playoff push.
