1. Keith Smith

The fullback position in Arthur Smith’s offense has far more value than in the majority of the league and Smith is a great fit for this team. The veteran had a combined ten yards on the season and isn’t going to be a player that many fans are concerned about bringing back. Smith is a piece that Atlanta can replace but considering the position and ability why mess up a great fit?

Smith is a big part of what this offense does and a huge contributor to why Tyler Allgeier had a great rookie season. Smith has started 14 games for the Falcons over the past two seasons.  If the Falcons opt not to bring Smith back another potential fit could be Derek Watt.

While not the impact players his brothers are on the other side of the ball Watt is a solid blocker and would be a great fit in Arthur Smith’s system if the team is unable to retain their current fullback.

Looking at the current market and considering Smith’s age a 1-2 year deal in the $1-3 million range would be fair compensation for a player who does a lot for this team that isn’t immediately obvious.
