5 Tight Ends the Atlanta Falcons could pair with Kyle Pitts
By Nick Halden
5. Evan Engram
Imagine the passing attack with Engram, Pitts, London, and a second starting receiver all on the field. Add Allgeier in the backfield and Ridder’s ability to scramble and Atlanta would have everything they needed to be a top-ten offense. Just as is the case with Akins, however, Engram is hitting free agency at the perfect time.
Engram had a career year in Jacksonville becoming a top option in a Trevor Lawrence-led offense that looks to be heading toward being one of the best units in the league. Engram was a big part of this and if the Jaguars can open up the needed cap space will likely return.
Landing Engram would require the Falcons to spend less on the receiver position adding cheap veteran deals and depth in the draft. The mismatches it would create for the Falcons at the position could be well worth it if Engram is willing to sign with Atlanta and land with an inexperienced quarterback in Ridder.
