Looking at the Atlanta Falcons off-season it is obvious what the team chooses to do at the quarterback position will continue to be the story of the off-season. Atlanta’s biggest headlines so far have centered around Lamar Jackson despite the quarterback not officially being on the trade market from any concrete source.

Add in Arthur Blank, Arthur Smith, and Terry Fontenot all having positive things to say about Desmond Ridder, and what the Falcons will do at quarterback should be obvious. However, it is fair to point out that with Matt Ryan under contract and things seemingly staying the same Atlanta shockingly attempted to land Deshaun Watson, traded Matt Ryan, and signed Marcus Mariota in a matter of just a few days.

This front office has shown they aren’t going to always make the obvious and predictable move even when what the team should do is blatantly obvious.
