3. Kansas City Chiefs

Let’s be clear here this is only an option for Matt Ryan if the veteran wants to chase a ring and is okay with not playing at all during the 2023 season. Backing up Patrick Mahomes has been Chad Henne’s job for the past four years with the quarterback retiring having played a limited role in route to winning two rings.

The Chiefs will look to replace Henne adding a reliable option behind Mahomes. Just as was the case with Brady for so many years the clearest way to hunt a ring right now is to join forces with Mahomes. For the past five seasons, Mahomes has been either in the Super Bowl or a game away.

Ryan winning a ring to add to an impressive career should be the missing piece that puts the passer into the Hall. If Ryan is willing to sacrifice his chance of starting in favor of hunting that ring the Chiefs would be a great fit.

Learning from Andy Reid and backup up Patrick Mahomes has to be considered one of the best jobs in the league one Ryan shouldn’t hesitate to take if there isn’t a path back as a starter.
