2. Feleipe Franks

How is Feleipe Franks still on this Atlanta Falcons roster? The former quarterback was unable to beat out the now-unemployed Josh Rosen for the second quarterback spot in the 2021 season and moved the next year to a new position. Franks attempted to play tight end and clearly wasn’t an asset at the position unable to make an impact anytime he took the field.

While Arthur Smith loves positional flexibility and Franks brings that skill set it is only a plus for a roster if you’re able to play at least one of those positions at an average level. Franks clearly isn’t a contributor to winning football and it is time for the Falcons to move on creating a roster spot for a player who has a chance of making a positive impact.

Cutting Franks isn’t about saving cap space but parting ways with a player who has been given every opportunity to succeed and has been unable to take advantage.
