Kick returner:

  • KR1: Cordarrelle Patterson
  • KR2: Devin Hester
  • KR3: Deion Sanders

Punt returner:

  • PR1: Devin Hester
  • PR2: Deion Sanders

You could make the argument that we should just throw the depth rankings out because all of these guys were terrifying to kick the ball to and any team would love to have any of these guys, except for the present-day Atlanta Falcons, because, well, they already have Cordarrelle Patterson.

Cordarrelle Patterson officially became the best kick returner in NFL history this past season by taking his tenth kick into the endzone. And then Devin Hester is the greatest all-around return man the league has ever seen. Both of them broke their respective records wearing a Falcons jersey.

Oh, and then you have Deion Sanders who some consider to be the greatest athlete in NFL history and certainly the greatest athlete to ever play defense. He was named ‘Primetime’ for a reason, I will leave it at that.
