5 Receivers the Atlanta Falcons could pair with Drake London
By Nick Halden
5. Brandin Cooks
Has there been a more consistently underrated receiver in football in the last eight years? Cooks is seemingly never talked about the way other top receivers in that same time span have been. For Brandin, the team or quarterback hasn’t mattered six out of the last eight seasons Cooks puts up over 1,000 yards and has scored 46 touchdowns in that time frame.
Whether it is playing with a top-ten quarterback or a future backup in Houston Cooks plays at a high level and continues to produce.
The hard part of adding Cooks will be spending the draft pick it will take to land the veteran receiver. However, Atlanta can spend a lesser pick than it would take to add a receiver of close to the same production in all likelihood . Cooks would be a perfect fit alongside Drake London still having enough speed to demand the opposing defense to respect Atlanta deep. Cooks, Pitts, London, Allgeier, and Patterson has all the makings of a top ten offense if Desmond Ridder can simply be a capable point guard and allow his players to do the work.
