The

Atlanta Falcons

are out on Lamar Jackson just minutes after the news was announced that Jackson was on a nonexclusive tag that allowed any team to sign Jackson for the price of two first-round picks. The Ravens can match the offer or choose to take two first-rounders and move on from Lamar.

This opened the door for the Falcons to seriously chase Jackson for the first time this season and land the former MVP in a move that would make Falcons football instantly relevant. The style that Lamar plays would perfectly fit in Arthur Smith’s system giving the team a lethal rushing attack.

Cold water was quickly poured on any notion that the Falcons have been or would pursue the quarterback with the Panthers, Dolphins, Commanders, and Raiders all opting out of chasing the star quarterback as well.

While this could just be posturing by one or all of these organizations for Atlanta the reasons not to chase Lamar are obvious and could mean the team will remain uninterested in Jackson.
