1. Grady Jarrett
Grady Jarrett is one of the last of the old guard who has made it through the last three Atlanta Falcons head coaching staffs. Outside of Jake Matthews he is the longest-tenured Atlanta Falcon and will forever be remembered as one of the best in franchise history at his position. With all of that said, it might be time to consider whether or not the Falcons need to make a change. Based on his contract and the unit's level of play it could be time to have an uncomfortable discussion.
This is in no way to suggest Atlanta's defensive failures are on the veteran. Rather pointing out a terrible run defense and terrible pass rush are all happening with Jarrett and Onyemata starting in the middle of the defense. While Jarrett isn't the problem the Falcons are paying the veteran at a level that suggests he should be the solution.
It isn't hard to bring in a new and cheaper defensive line that can be at the bottom of the league in sacks and run defense. Jarrett needs a strong second half that turns back the clock and makes sure the Falcons aren't tempted to consider saving cap space this offseason.
