Falcons may regret not drafting DB Cooper DeJean in the second round

Drafted by the Eagles at No. 40

The fact that Cooper DeJean lasted eight picks into the second round was stunning. He is a versatile player who brings physicality to a defense.

The Falcons need both positions DeJean can start at—cornerback and strong safety. DeJean would have given them a piece to take the place of either Clark Phillips III or DeMarcco Hellams. Essentially, they would have been able to play the best second-year player.

Ruke Orhorhoro will have to develop into a player who can take advantage of his length and size for this pick to not look bad.
