Three questions we have about the 2024 Atlanta Falcons before the draft
Question No. 3: How smoothly will the transition be to two new schemes and a new coaching staff?
Look at the history of the NFL, teams do not usually transition smoothly into a new scheme. Things take time and with how complex schemes are, it can take a year or two to get things rolling.
The Falcons offense will be moving from a scheme that was reliant on tight ends to one that is more spread out with three wide receivers. On the other side of the ball, the defense has to move from a base 4-3 to a 3-4. Those are complete switches that may take a year to implement.
Think about Kyle Shanahan, his first year was rough and fans were calling for him to get fired but in his second year he led one of the most prolific offenses in NFL history.
The Falcons need to do everything they can to get things rolling from week one.
