4 Atlanta Falcons who should be taking blame for sputtering offense
By Nick Halden
1. Kirk Cousins
The Atlanta Falcons veteran quarterback had one great moment in a game-winning drive against the Eagles. In the two games since, the heat has again increased with frustration mounting over Atlanta's poor offensive play. While the Atlanta OC deserves a large piece of the blame Cousins is far from playing his best ball for the Falcons.
What is encouraging is the fact Kirk again seems to be confident in his decisions and letting the ball fly. While is yet to work in Atlanta's favor consistently it is a step in the right direction. Cousins holding the ball far too long and second-guessing every throw is a worse sign than the quarterback trusting himself and attempting to make plays in the offense.
Along with Kirk's improved movement, there is a lot of reasons to believe this team is yet to play their best football. For fans already calling for Penix Jr. consider what a young quarterback looked like the last time Atlanta had a struggling playcaller. Kirk Cousins is this team's starting quarterback and as each game goes by the veteran is showing improvements and reason to believe this offense will still figure things out. This brings us to the next and most obvious member of our list.
