Looking at the Atlanta Falcons roster it is easy to argue they are the most talented team in the division. If not for the questions around second-year quarterback Desmond Ridder it is hard to believe it would even be a debate. Who else in this division can you make a case for as a serious playoff contender?

New Orleans' entire off-season was spent adding Derek Carr and losing key depth and starting pieces. Carr is only a slight upgrade over Andy Dalton with fewer playoff starts and a tendency to create turnovers at the worst time.

Carolina has a first-year head coach and a rookie quarterback without a clear number-one receiver. They are an interesting team but not one that should be a clear threat to what should be a superior Atlanta roster.

All that needs to be said about Tampa is that the Bucs went from a below .500 team with Tom Brady to one that will start Kyle Trask or Baker Mayfield on a far less talented roster. There is no argument for anyone but the Falcons as the division favorites in the 2023 season.

With this in mind, let's look at each opponents roster and what Atlanta might do with the ability to steal one player from each division rival.
