Falcons re-sign RG Chris Lindstrom for 5 years, $105 million
This simply needed to happen sooner than later. The Falcons were smart to reward the best guard in the league with the biggest contract for an offensive guard in NFL history.
Lindstrom is the best at his position after being arguably the best overall player in the league, at least according to Pro Football Focus. he will be a driving force to the team's offense for the next five years—at least.
It is a lot of money but give it another year or two and it should look like a very reasonable deal. This feels like a shifting point for the market at the guard position.
