We discussed the Falcons biggest draft day need previously. Now we focus on additional team needs, starting with Outside Linebacker.

So who are the best in this year’s draft and which ones will likely fall to the Falcons at 19? Let’s review the possible options.

Top OLBs Available in 2010 Draft

There’s been rumors of Graham going off the board before 19 but my gut is he’ll be there for the Falcons. If he is, will he be the choice? Most of the mocks lately have the Falcons taking the Michigan product.

Kindle is big talent but reports are he’s a better fit in a 3-4 defense than in the Falcons 4-3.

Weatherspoon is a big hit among Falcons fans and the team has had nothing but positives to say about him. That’s what concerns me. It’s almost a lock the Falcons make him the 19th pick, but that’s a bit of reach for him.

The hurdle is the Falcons don’t have a 2nd round pick so if they like Weatherspoon, they will likely have to reach to get him.

Hughes will certainly be available at 19 and Scott Carasick says he fits the type of player the Falcons look for when drafting.

My gut says that if Graham is there, he’s the pick. Weatherspoon’s the play if Graham is gone, but after that, I could could see them trading down or going a different direction entirely.

More to Come

We’ll break down the other positions of need throughout the day on this NFL Draft Day 2010.

What do you think? If they go strictly with a OLB, who’s your choice on this list? Do you hope they wait and grab a OLB in later rounds? Let me hear it in the comments.
