2015 NFL schedule to be released Tuesday

Well, the wait is almost over. The 2015 NFL schedule will be released on Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET as apart of a three-hour NFL schedule. Who will the Atlanta Falcons’ first game be against?

While we don’t yet know the order in which the Falcons will play their games, we do know the teams they will face.

HOME: Carolina; New Orleans; Tampa Bay; Philadelphia; Washington; Houston; Indianapolis; Minnesota

AWAY: Carolina, New Orleans, Tampa Bay, Dallas, NY Giants, Jacksonville, Tennessee, San Francisco

Including two games against the Carolina Panthers, the Falcons will face just two teams who made the playoffs in 2014 (Indianapolis and Dallas).

Fortunately, the Colts clash will be at home, while playing in Dallas could actually be better than playing them at home — the Cowboys went 8-0 on the road last term while losing four of their eight home games.

Games that stand out on the schedule include the home game against the Eagles and a trip to San Francisco to face the 49ers.

Both teams missed out on the playoffs last year and will be looking to bounce back. The Eagles have made a number of major changes to their roster this offseason, including trading away LeSean McCoy and bringing in DeMarco Murray.

It will be interesting to see how many prime time games the Falcons are picked to play in. Of course, the divisional games have a shot, especially one of the two contests with the Panthers.

Outside of those games, a rematch of the 2012 NFC Championship Game against the 49ers could be a good draw. Both teams are looking to return to the playoffs.

All of the dates and times will be announced tomorrow. While we wait for that, you can check out the preseason schedule below.
