Atlanta Falcons receiver Julio Jones was limited in Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury.

To beat the undefeated Carolina Panthers, the Atlanta Falcons will need a big game from the best receiver in football, Julio Jones. What’s concerning is Jones was listed on the injury report this week with a knee injury, and was limited in practice Wednesday.

Jones’ injury will be closely monitored throughout the week, and let’s hope it’s just a precautionary measure to limit him. The fact he was on the practice field at all on Wednesday is a positive sign, and indicates he will likely be ready to go on Sunday.

G Chris Chester, TE Tony Moeaki and NT Paul Soliai were all out of practice. K Matt Bryant, WR Devin Hester and TE Jacob Tamme were limited participants. S Ricardo Allen and S Kemal Ishmael practiced fully.

The Falcons can’t afford to lose any starting players on offense, particularly Jones and Tamme. The two are key targets in the passing game. With Leonard Hankerson already lost for the season, the Falcons need these guys to stay healthy and step up on the field.

A look at the Panthers: DE Jared Allen, WR Brenton Bersin, WR Jerricho Cotchery, LB Thomas Davis, DT Dwan Edwards, WR Ted Ginn, S Roman Harper, C Ryan Kalil, TE Greg Olsen and RB Jonathan Stewart were all out of practice, but all except Bersin were non-injury related.

CB Charles Tillman was limited with a knee injury, and DE Mario Addison was a full participant with an ankle injury.

Be sure to stay tuned to Blogging Dirty for full injury updates throughout the week. The Atlanta Falcons will need to be healthy, particularly when it comes to the pass-catchers, to have any shot of taking down the undefeated Carolina Panthers this Sunday.
