While teams look at Antonio Cromartie, Byron Maxwell, or Brandon Flowers, the Atlanta Falcons should look at Kareem Jackson.

Jackson is shockingly overlooked thus far in the off-season. I’m not even going to get into all the convincing words, just take a look at PFF’s coverage below.

PFF CB Coverage Ratings for 2014-2015 NFL Season:

  1. Chris Harris Jr
  2. Vontae Davis
  3. Sean Smith
  4. Darrell Revis
  5. Richard Sherman
  6. K’Wuan Williams
  7. Kareem Jackson

That’s correct. Jackson is one of the best cover corners in the NFL, and yet all anyone can talk about are the “big names.” Well let’s take a look at the big names.

16. Brandon Flowers

39. Byron Maxwell

45. Antonio Cromartie

At 26 years old, Jackson seems to be in his prime. And other teams WILL do their scouting and fans WILL get to the realization that Kareem Jackson is the real deal!

The final contract won’t be cheap, but it will certaintly be a bargain. The Atlanta Falcons should make the move and make it early, by signing Jackson to a 4 year 18 million dollar contract. For a top 10 corner, I’d say that’s worth it.
