If It Comes Down to the 4th Quarter, Falcons Could Be In Trouble

While Atlanta has put up some top-tier scoring numbers overall, their offense is just as much to blame as the defense for team’s free-fall over the past three weeks. The Falcons have not scored in the fourth quarter during the 3-game losing streak while the defense has given up 35 points. The Falcons have been outscored 14-0, 13-0, and 8-0 against the Vikings, Giants, and Bears, respectively.

If I added the Tampa Bay game when the Falcons presumably took their foot off the gas pedal, Atlanta has been outscored 49-0 in the fourth quarter over the past four games. On the flip side, Baltimore has outscored their opponents 38-14 during that same span.
Let’s hope the Falcons have a healthy lead at the end of the 3rd quarter.
