It’s Time to Fire Atlanta Falcons HC Mike Smith
By Sam Kweon
The Atlanta Falcons have a franchise quarterback in Matt Ryan, and a trio of offensive weapons in Julio Jones, Roddy White, and Devin Hester. With that being said, there isn’t a person in the world that wouldn’t want to take this job.

Standing at 2-5, many would think the Falcons season is in ruins with no chance of getting into the 2014 playoffs, but take a look at the records of the NFC South.

Pathetic? Sure, but it’s obvious that Mike Smith doesn’t take action on a problem, and is more of a laid-back personality….A personality that the Atlanta Falcons cannot simply afford.
The head coach refuses to give the electrifying Antone Smith more than 3 carries a game, and has never took action thus far on the dreadful pass rush (by the way there ARE options).
The head coach job search is on. Jim Harbaugh would be a miracle, but to get more realistic: How about Nick Saban? Famous reporter Adam Schein took his toll on the situation.
"Maybe this is the job that attracts the next big-name college coach. Maybe this is the gig Nick Saban jumps at, with his ties to front-office folks in Atlanta. Maybe it’s the next hot NFL assistant, or the currently-out-of-work coach with a Super Bowl ring."
