Preseason can be a time where players on the fringe of the roster get their chance to earn a spot. New Falcons coach Dan Quinn says they will ‘battle’ in preseason and everyone will be given a shot to prove themselves. As Reid Ferrin of AtlantaFalcons.com writes:
"“Falcons head coach Dan Quinn is passionate about football, including his team’s preseason games, offering a huge stage for players who are trying to earn their spot on his roster.”"
Maxx Williams a good fit?
With the Falcons lacking a productive tight end since Tony Gonzalez retired, could Maxx Williams be the man? Scott Carasik of Bleacher Report takes a look:
"“In order for the new offense that the Atlanta Falcons are running in 2015 to work, they need a great all-around tight end like what Maxx Williams has the potential to be. He’s a Jason Witten clone who can give Atlanta its most well-rounded tight end since Alge Crumpler.”"
How much will the new stadium cost?
According to Maria Saporta of Atlanta Business Chronicle, the new Falcons stadium is going to cost more than expected:
"“During a panel discussion at the Rotary Club of Atlanta Monday on the rejuvenation of the westside neighborhoods, Blank let it slip out that he views the “$1.5 billion stadium” as an incredible investment.”"
