Falcons hope to address pass rush with Vic Beasley

The Atlanta Falcons got their man with Vic Beasley in the first round of the 2015 NFL Draft. They will now be hoping he plays a huge role in the rebuild of the pass rush. Vaughn McClure of ESPN writes:

"“If Atlanta Falcons fans weren’t impressed with Vic Beasley already, certainly the former Clemson pass-rush demon gained a few more backers with a bold, draft-night proclamation.“I’m a double-digit sack guy,” Beasley said via video from Chicago after being drafted by his homestate team. “Most definitely.”"

How did Falcons fare in division?

We gave our grade on Beasley last night, but how did the pick compare to the other picks inside the division? TheAdvocate.com takes look at the Panthers, Falcons and Buccaneers.

"“The Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback was selected with the first overall pick in the NFL draft on Thursday night, instantly becoming the face of a franchise that missed the playoffs the past seven seasons and hasn’t won a postseason game since the club’s Super Bowl run in 2002.”"

What does Beasley bring to Atlanta?

So what does Beasley bring to Atlanta? Scott Carasik of Bleacher Report gives us an in-depth look.

"“He had 33 career sacks for the Tigers and fits exactly what new Falcons head coach Dan Quinn wants in his “Leo” defensive end position. Off the field, Beasley is easily going to fit in the Falcons locker room very well since he actually wants to be in Atlanta and is just a high-character player.”"
