Falcons Play 2015 Draft Perfectly

It was a great draft for the Atlanta Falcons. Matt Bowen of Bleacher Report explains why it was so good for the Falcons.

"“But if I had to point to just one club that leaves Chicago with a group of prospects that stands above the rest, I have to go with the Atlanta Falcons, based on the core group of guys they acquired to play for new head coach Dan Quinn in 2015.”"

Falcons Pick House Fire

New Atlanta Falcons defensive tackle Grady Jarrett has made it to the NFL. The weekend did bring him some bad news, however, as he lost a portion of his house in a fire the night before he was selected. Vaughn McClure of ESPN writes.

"“Less than 24 hours after a portion of his home in Conyers, Georgia, caught fire, Jarrett was drafted in the fifth round of the NFL draft by the Falcons on Saturday. Then the Falcons quickly went into help mode, as owner Arthur Blank ordered the team’s staff to help Jarrett purchase some clothes, a source told ESPN NFL Insider Chris Mortensen.”"

Jarrett Draft Breakdown

From the Falcons point of view, Jarrett is an exciting prospect. Here is a full draft breakdown of the defensive tackle from Scott Carasik of Bleacher Report.

"“Atlanta should have some scary-good pass-rushing sets that involve Jarrett, Beasley, 2014 second-round pick Ra’Shede Hageman and O’Brien Schofield attacking the quarterback together. The Falcons have just gotten a lot better against the pass with their draft this year.”"
