Matt Ryan is first Atlanta Falcons’ player in NFL Top 100
Matt Ryan is the first Atlanta Falcons player to be revealed in the NFL’s Top 100 players of 2015. Ryan is ranked 77th on the list, ahead of Joe Flacco, but below Cam Newton.
The NFL released the players from No. 80-71 in their third installment, which saw the likes of Tampa Bay’s Mike Evans (75) and Green Bay’s Julius Peppers (71) revealed.
Ryan didn’t make the list last year, and is the second quarterback to be revealed in this year’s list — Newton was the third.
In 2014, Ryan completed 415 of his 628 passes for 4,694 yards and 28 touchdowns to 14 interceptions. For a player who was ranked fifth in passing yards last year and tenth in touchdowns, the ranking does seem a little low.

We will only be able to make a full judgement on the rankings when we have seen where the other quarterbacks rank. So far we know that Joe Flacco (97) ranked lower, and Cam Newton (73) came in four places above Ryan.
It’s safe to assume league MVP Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Tom Brady and Andrew Luck will feature much higher on the list, as will Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger. But how much higher will the latter two be?
What do you think of the ranking? Should Matty Ice have been placed higher, or is this fair?
