4. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

For now, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers remain in fourth place. But watch this space, because there is plenty of potential for this offense.

The focus in this year’s draft was to find their franchise quarterback, which they will be hoping they now have with Jamies Winston, and make sure he has plenty of help. Six of the Buccaneers’ seven draft picks were used on offense — they picked up a quarterback, two offensive linemen, two wide receivers and a fullback.

It’s pretty obvious what their goal was.

Winston looks to be the most pro-ready of all the rookie quarterbacks, and there are high expectations for the first overall pick out of Florida State. With Drew Brees’ Super Bowl window closing in New Orleans, a window may be opening in Tampa Bay for the foreseeable future.

Winston won’t be able to complain about a lack of help, because the Buccaneers are stacked with talent at the skill positions.

Receivers Mike Evans and Vincent Jackson combined for 2,053 yards and 14 touchdowns last season, and will be poised to improve on those numbers with better quarterback play. Louis Murphy is a solid third option, and he could face competition from rookie Kenny Bell.

It’s been a tough couple of years for running back Doug Martin, who has suffered from a number of injuries. He burst onto the scene in his rookie season, rushing 319 times for 1,454 yards and 11 touchdowns. If he can get anywhere close to that form, look out.

Right now, the Buccaneers rank fourth on this list. If all goes to plan, they could soon be considerably higher.
