Brooks Reed would be the third newest starter for the Atlanta Falcons on this defense and may be the safest pick to start for Atlanta outside of Beasley.  Reed played in the same strong-side linebacker spot with the Houston Texans, so the ease of transition is already in place.

Reed was the Falcons’ biggest free-agent acquisition in the offseason and will provide an instant upgrade for Atlanta’s newly formed defense. When in coverage, Reed will play in a zone scheme more times than not which plays into his strong suite.
