Julio Jones is widely regarded as one of the National Football League’s top wide receivers. Now, the creators of Madden NFL 16 agree, making Jones tied for fourth place among wideouts on the video game.

The Atlanta Falcons star posted career-best numbers last season, making 104 catches for 1,593 yards and six touchdowns.

Jones received an overall rating of 94, which makes him one of the game’s premier players.

"JULIO JONES (94 OVR)ATLANTA FALCONS6’3, 220 POUNDSAlready in his fifth year, Jones has emerged as one of the game’s premier wideouts. He brings 97 Spectacular Catch and three 94s in Catching, Catch in Traffic, and Agility. He also shines with 92 SPD/92 ACC/87 ELUS, as well as 87 JMP/91 RTE."

The big three of Antonio Brown, Dez Bryant and Calvin Johnson are above Jones on the list, but Julio is tied for fourth with second-year pro Odell Beckham Jr.

1. Antonio Brown, Pittsburgh Steelers (Overall: 97)
2. Dez Bryant, Dallas Cowboys (Overall: 96)
3. Calvin Johnson, Detroit Lions (Overall: 95)
4. Odell Beckham, New York Giants (Overall: 94)
t-4. Julio Jones, Atlanta Falcons (Overall: 94)

Notable absences from the list include Denver’s Demaryius Thomas and Green Bay’s Jordy Nelson. Should have they featured in the top five?

While it may just be a ranking on a video game, it’s still nice to see some recognition for the Falcons’ star as he really has emerged as one of the league’s very best at the position.

So what do you think of these rankings, Falcons fans? Would you agree Jones is the fourth best receiver in the NFL?
