Star Lotulelei is going through a nagging foot injury and has no time-table for return. The hope is to have him back during the preseason, but nothing has been done thus far. Lotulelei first injured his foot back in January after breaking a bone in it, and has re-aggravated that injury in the last couple of weeks. Lotulelei was seen wearing a walking book on August third and is taking things very slowly for now.

If Lotulelei is unable to return before the start of the season, this could prove very costly for a team that relies on him to stuff the run from the tackle position. He takes on numerous double teams which allows players like Luke Kuechly to find the open hole and tear someones head off. The Panthers will need Lotulelei very badly in 2015.
