Does this name surprise you? If it does then you may need to read up on how bad he has been in the past three years. Peter Konz was a second round pick for the Falcons, but has played like an undrafted free agent would. This may be the year that the Falcons can finally send him packing, but we will have to wait and see.

Konz isn’t listed as a starter and is currently listed as the second string left guard behind Mike Person. However, James Stone is likely to in the left guard spot while Person will back him up and play some center as well. Konz may be kept for depth, but if he is, don’t expect it to be for his talent.

The only thing Konz has going for him is his cheap contract. It doesn’t make a ton of sense to cut an offensive lineman who is not owed very much money, but us as fans are all ready to see him gone. Will this be the year we can finally get rid of him? We will have to wait and see.
