Maybe the Falcons do have a running game

At times the Falcons’ running game looked really good. The Falcons out rushed the Eagles 105 to 63 which is mind-boggling. Atlanta was led by rookie Tevin Coleman’s 80 yards on 20 carries. Coleman had a very nice game and broke out several long runs.

However, the offensive line shut down several attempts before they could even get started. The O-line also had a couple of holding penalties that negated long runs from Coleman. It is important to remember that the offensive line is still a work in progress, but the initial success of the running game was great to see.

I will go out on a limb and say that the run game for the Falcons won them the game. If it weren’t for a solid rushing attack that led to a field goal to make it a 23-17 game, then the defense just might of collapsed when the game was on the line late in the fourth quarter.
