It was a rough start to the 2015 season for the New Orleans Saints, who lost on the road to the Arizona Cardinals. There is no shame losing to the Cardinals away from home, but there are plenty of concerns on the Saints roster right now.

Drew Brees piled up plenty of yards (355) but this was due to him throwing the football 48 times. He averaged less yards per pass (7.4) than Carson Palmer did (9.6), and threw for just one touchdown with one interception. Palmer on the other hand threw for three scores and no picks on 16 fewer pass attempts.

More worrying is the defense. The Saints gave up 120 yards rushing and 307 in the air. Up against tough offenses in the division like the Falcons’, the New Orleans defense will need to get off the field more regularly. There are a number of holes on this roster and it could keep the Saints out of the playoffs once again.
