As expected, Devin Hester and Brooks Reed remain out of practice and didn’t practice at all this week. Defensive end Malliciah Goodman didn’t practice all week due to an elbow injury and is also out. Every other player listed on the injury report practiced fully Friday and are listed as probable.
Among the names listed as probable are defensive end Adrian Clayborn and linebacker O’Brien Schofield. Both are key parts to the Falcons’ defense, so it’s a relief that they are expected to suit up. Offensive tackle Jake Matthews, who is still recovering from a back issue, practiced fully Thursday and Friday and didn’t feel any additional soreness to his back after the Eagles game. He’ll be ready to go.
For the Giants, wide receiver Victor Cruz remains out with a calf injury. Tight end Daniel Fells, defensive tackle Markus Kuhn and defensive end Owa Odighizuwa are out. Linebacker Jon Beason is doubtful. Tackle Ereck Flowers and linebacker Uani ‘Unga are probable.
There aren’t too many injuries for the Falcons, but the big one is that Julio is ready to roll.
