Devonta Freeman is the number one player to watch for the Atlanta Falcons on Sunday. Freeman has been thrusted into the starting job after a rib injury set rookie Tevin Coleman back a couple of weeks. Freeman will be the Falcons’ feature back on Sunday and will be looking to pick up where he left off against the Giants.

Freeman found the end zone for the Falcons last week in what was the go-ahead, game winning touchdown from a yard out. Freeman has exceptional hands, but didn’t show them off to well against the Giants. Freeman had two big drops that are very uncharacteristic of him, so you can expect that to be fixed heading into week 3.

With no Coleman on Sunday, Freeman will get a lot of work and will have an opportunity to win the starting job outright with a big game. Can the Falcons run the ball on Dallas? We will have to wait and see, but you can bet money they will try. Let’s see what Freeman’s got.
