Who to watch

Devonta Freeman

Devonta Freeman will lead the way at running back after a ribs injury has ruled rookie Tevin Coleman out. Freeman has rushed 22 times for 43 yards and a touchdown through two games, averaging just two yards per carry. He’s run hard and played better than his numbers suggest, and he will be key for the Falcons’ offense.

Vic Beasley

Atlanta will need to find a way of rushing the passer against a dominant offensive line, and Vic Beasley is the best pass rusher on the team. The rookie has impressed in his first two regular season games, and made his first sack last week in New York, stripping Eli Manning of the football. He will need a big game to force Weeden into mistakes.

Matt Ryan

The Falcons have a clear advantage at the quarterback position with no Tony Romo, and they need to make it count. Ryan will have his hands full against a stout Dallas defense, but he is surrounded by playmakers and has the talent to make the right throws. If Matty Ice has a big game, so will the Falcons.
