Who to watch

Roddy White

Roddy White has had a total of zero catches in the past two weeks, although his blocking last week was important. He will need to step up in the receiving game to give the Falcons an option outside of Julio Jones. Leonard Hankerson has done a nice job, but it’s time to get some more production from Roddy.

Not only will he need to play well in receiving, he will once again need to block well. If the Falcons look to hit some screen passes to slow the rush, the blocking needs to be on the money.

Ryan Schraeder

While Watt is likely to command more than one blocker most of the afternoon, Ryan Schraeder is going to see plenty of him, and he has to be able to contain the 2014 Defensive Player of the Year. If Watt is able to consistently beat the tackle, Matt Ryan will be forced into some difficult spots.

The better job Schraeder can do against Watt, the easier the assignments will be for the rest of the line. Keep an eye on the battle between these two.

Patrick DiMarco

Patrick DiMarco was one of the unsung heroes in last week’s win over Dallas. His run blocking was excellent, and a similar performance will make Freeman’s job that much easier. The fullback has put in some strong showings so far this season, so keep an eye on him against the 19th ranked run defense.
