1) Devonta Freeman: Best running back in the NFL?

is Devonta Freeman the best running back in the NFL? At the moment, absolutely. Freeman tacked on two more touchdowns in the loss to the Saints and rushed for 100 yards on 13 carries. What’s mind-boggling is the fact that Freeman only rushed the ball 13 times. Just why?

When you’re as hot as Freeman is, you give him the ball. There is no reason why Freeman shouldn’t be carrying the ball at least 25 times a game. Was Freeman a little tired heading into this game? Probably, but still. He didn’t seem tired out on the field.

Freeman caught eight passes for 56 yards including a touchdown in the fourth quarter to run his total to 156 total yards of offense. This guy just continues to dominate. Freeman now has 505 rushing yards on the year and 296 receiving yards and leads all running backs with 10 total touchdowns.

Freeman is on pace for 1,356 yards rushing and 784 yards receiving. What?! That would be a total of 2,140 yards of TOTAL OFFENSE IN A SINGLE SEASON. The NFL record is 2,429 by Marshall Faulk in 1999. Can I say MVP?

Have a good day and remember to Rise Up! We’re 5-1 people? Not 2-4! What a time to be alive.
