8. ST. LOUIS RAMS (4-3)

Last week: 10
Change: +2

Every week, Todd Gurley gets more impressive. His workload will be limited this season after recovering from a torn ACL, they said. It’s all about 2016 for Gurley apparently. Well nobody let him know that. The rookie had another 20 carries for 133 yards and a touchdown against the 49ers.

I was unsure of the move to take Gurley with the 10th overall pick, especially when Melvin Gordon would have been available if the team opted to trade down a few picks. Gordon felt like the safer bet because he seemed to have a similar level of ability without the injury risk. Well, we are now seeing why the Rams took the Georgia product.

It’s early in his career, but he has the makings of a star and could well become the league’s best back in not too long. With the defense the Rams have, this team is on the rise.
