What to watch
Pressure on Gabbert?
Blaine Gabbert will be under center for San Francisco with Colin Kaepernick benched. The key for Atlanta will be putting him under pressure and forcing him into poor decisions. He’s an inexperienced quarterback and will be relying on short passes.
It’s important to take them away and pile on the pressure. Can the Falcons get it done?
Can the offense prevent the turnovers?
Mistakes have cost the Falcons on offense in recent weeks, and they simply cannot make a habit of turning it over in the red zone and leaving points on the board. How is the offense looking?
Fundamentals as simple as snapping the ball and handing it off to the running back have led to turnovers recently. This will be a major point of emphasis.
How is the secondary holding up?
Atlanta’s secondary is banged up. CB Robert Alford and S William Moore are out, and CB Desmond Trufant is still dealing with a back injury. Rookie Jalen Collins will have an expanded role.
