The Atlanta Falcons take on the Indianapolis Colts in what is set to be a huge inter-conference game. We spoke with Horseshoe Heroes ahead of the game.

Will the Atlanta Falcons snap its two-game losing streak against the Indianapolis Colts? To do so, they will need to do what they couldn’t two weeks ago at Levi’s Stadium and beat a backup quarterback. Matt Hasselbeck fills in for the injured Andrew Luck this week.

I spoke with Evan Reller, editor of Horseshoe Heroes, which is our FanSided affiliate site that covers the Indianapolis Colts. It’s great to be able to get a Colts perspective on Sunday’s game and the season up to this point.

With Andrew Luck sidelined, do you believe the Colts will make the playoffs with Matt Hasselbeck?

ER: The AFC South is really bad this season. It is highly likely that the Colts will win at least 8 games, only needing to take four of the final seven (and with three against those AFC South opponents). They’ve shown that they can certainly win with Hasselbeck under center, but it will be different as to whether he can play week in and out. That said, he managed to play with food poisoning on three days rest after a hospital stay, so it’s tough to question Hasselbeck’s toughness.

So the simple answer is yes, the Colts can and probably will make the playoffs this season.
