Any slim hopes of reaching the playoffs for the Jacksonville Jaguars were surely wiped out with defeat to the San Diego Chargers. But that dream was always unlikely to come through, and Jacksonville can likely turn its attention to 2016. They will of course fight to the end, but they will fall short this year.

Blake Bortles is emerging into the quarterback they need. He still has a lot to improve, but the development he’s made so far is impressive. The Jaguars have given him talented pass catchers this year, with the duo of Allen Robinson and Allen Hurns providing plenty of production all year long.

Here’s wishing Hurns a speedy recovery. He suffered a scary looking injury against San Diego, but fortunately it wasn’t serious and he was released from hospital with a concussion. Hurns could play this week, but will likely sit out.
