13. BUFFALO BILLS (6-7)

Last week: 12
Change: -1

Will we look back on Sunday’s loss to the Eagles as the moment the Buffalo Bills fell out of playoff contention? They aren’t out of it just yet, but the loss coupled with wins for New York, Kansas City and Pittsburgh makes the path to the postseason much more challenging.

At 6-7, the Bills will likely have to win out to have a shot. They take on Washington on the road this week, before home games with Dallas and New York. The toughest one is the game with the Jets. The Bills got the better of them at MetLife Stadium earlier in the year, but the Jets look a much better team now and are playing some excellent football.

The good news for the Bills is the recent play of Tyrod Taylor. Taylor has been helped with a higher dosage of Sammy Watkins. The second-year receiver caught five passes for 81 yards and a touchdown against the Eagles, and is emerging as an excellent deep threat for Taylor in the passing game.

Offensively, the Bills are very good. The passing game is looking good, but the defense hasn’t been as dominant as expected so far this season.
