The more and more I dive into my draft analysis and free agent summary, the more i’m wanting to shy away from drafting a wide receiver and here’s why.

Do the Atlanta Falcons need a wide receiver? Absolutely. However, because there will be major holes to fill on the defense, the Falcons will probably address the receiver position in free agency rather than in the draft.

While I might be right, that doesn’t mean scouts for the Falcons won’t have a close eye on the receiving corps at this years’ Senior Bowl. The best receiver to accept an invite at this point is TCU receiver Josh Doctson.

Doctson clocks in at 6-foot-2, 195 pounds and arguably has the best hands in the upcoming draft. Doctson is one of a handful of receivers in this years’ draft class that would be able to start right away and contribute in a big way.

While it is unknown as to which route the Falcons want to go in addressing the receiver position, Doctson will be a good player to watch during the game.
