Atlanta Falcons: Updated 2016 Mock Draft
*Trade* Seattle Seahawks receive: 2016 7th round pick (236 overall) & 2017 3rd round pick
Atlanta Falcons receive: 2016 3rd round pick (90th overall)
Round 3, Pick 90: LB Kris Frost, 6’2 240 lbs, Auburn
Well, well, well. The Wizard of Draft Trades Thomas Dimitroff calls up DQ’s ole buddy, Pete Carroll. They engage in a little trash talk, trade dessert recipes, discuss a future tee time, and mention something about a draft trade.
With that trade, Atlanta gets a MLB in Frost with size, athleticism, and instincts. The addition of Frost gives DQ a MLB to lean on in the present and the future plus gives the defense an injection of skill at all three levels of the defense so far in this draft. Not only is Frost a solid run defender, he also provides help in pass coverage as well. One thing Frost needs to improve on is his hands usage to disengage from blocks. A trait that can be improved with a nice training camp and OTAs.
Others names to consider: DT Javon Hargrave, DT Sheldon Day, LB Antonio Morrison, TE Jerell Adams
