Did you expect the No. 1 player that the Atlanta Falcons need to go after to not be Bruce Irvin? Come on guys, you know me better than that! Irvin is a guy that has been rumored to the Falcons for quite some time now and it’s finally going to either going to become a reality or a hoax.

The Falcons elected to part ways with veteran OLB Justin Durant on Monday which leads everyone to believe that they will go extremely hard after Irvin to help fill the void. At the moment, the Falcons have Brooks Reed under contract and that’s it so there will be several new faces next season.

Irvin to Atlanta just makes since. He’s a hometown guy, Dan Quinn used to be his coach and he’s a great player. Why not slightly overpay to get a guy with his style of play and his hometown roots? If this guy isn’t in a Falcons uniform next season i’ll be pretty surprised.
