3) Jonathan Babineaux

Jonathan Babineaux is another fan-favorite and has spent his entire career with the Atlanta Falcons. He has put up very good numbers in his 11-year career. He has 27 career sacks, 10 forced fumbles and four interceptions out of the defensive tackle position. Very solid.

There are two reasons why the Falcons need to part ways with Babineaux. He will be 35 years old two months into the 2016 regular season. The second being there is a young star sitting behind him on the depth chart that needs to get more snaps.

Grady Jarrett turned a lot of heads in 2015 as a rookie and showed signs of being really, really good. Babinueax got 549 snaps while Jarrett got 267. Jarrett is a guy who can turn into a babineaux-like player and may be even better when it’s all said and done. While it’s always tough to say goodbye to long tenured players, it’s time.
