DE Robert Ayers

For a former first round pick, Robert Ayers has failed to live up to expectations hoisted on him when he entered the league. Even though he hasn’t become the other household name, Robert Ayers is still a very good player that could easily resurrect a forgotten career in Atlanta.

Every year, Ayers has started for the New York Giants, so to say that he is an under-the-radar type of guy may be a stretch, but he is one of the many players that has already become quickly overlooked by teams around the league. For Thomas Dimitroff and the Atlanta Falcons, it may be that oversight by other teams that may signal a great free agent signing.

If you are doubting the intelligence of this signing, remember back to when the Falcons played the Giants last season. Every play, Ayers was getting tremendous pressure on the quarterback and had a couple of tipped passes.
